...messy face

I just had to post this...we had Mushroom Spagetti the other night(yes it was AWESOME)...but the best part about dinner wasnt the sauce...but emmas face and how crazy funny she was!

Thank goodness she was done chewing.....hehe...

She just kept saying...'chesy, chesy, chesy'

Love it!

now for the clean up.....'hoo hoo' *owl sound*

She was really on it....too funny!

I am amazed daily as I watch her grow just how much God really does create individuals....even in her little body you can see little things that are so 'emma' and not anyone else! Thank you Lord for not making us little robots, thank you for showing off your creativity and creating us differently but still in your image! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for Emma!

clothing ministry.....

Well last weekend we headed up to the church to be a part of the clothing giveaway....

it was great....FREE CLOTHES!!! I am so amazed at how meeting NEEDS

of the community is sometimes the last thing that many believers see as MINISTRY!

There were two rooms and a hallway completely organized and PACKED

with clothes for ALL sizes, shapes and ages! We had men, women, children,

black, white, old and young there....IT WAS AWESOME!....

here are just a few pics I snapped!

Cant wait for the next one...hopefully we will

be able to meet more needs and touch more lives with JESUS love!!!

productive day continued....

here is the new shelf we have in our living room....

we found a wooden side rail to an ashley bed in our u-haul when we

cleaned it out to take back to the rental place...

so we held onto to it for some reason.....

so we bought some wooden brackets, spray paint and strong screws(about $23 total)

sprayed and sanded all the wood...

marked out our area on the wall...

and gathered some fun stuff to put on them....

which included mommy-n-me paint time...

EMMA HAD A BLAST.....and did a great job!!!

we had paint everywhere...but it washed off!!!!!

...love times like these!!!

...productive day!!!

So today we were able to finish some projects around the house that have been looming over....

1. We hung our curtains in our bedroom!!! YAY!

2. Michael mowed the freshly rained on yard....LOVE THAT SMELL!!!

3. We painted and sanded shelves to go in our living room....pics to come.....

4. We painted and sanded a little jewerly shelf i had from forever ago...it now holds my hard bracelets and a few other things...

5. We painted, sanded and then attached screen to my new Earing holder...LOVE IT! Turned out exactly how i wanted...and matches my necklace holders PERFECTLY!!!!

Had a productive and super fun day...i love getting projects done! Thank you Lord for allowing us to have a home to do these kinds of projects in!!!

....homemade sweet potato fries and veggie/turkey sloppy joes...

That is what was for dinner last night....this is one of our families favorites!

I found this recipe for homemade sloppy joes about a month after

we got married and have never looked back!

They are OH so yummy!!!!

Also we had homemade, freshly cut sweet potato chips....OH YEAH!!!!

They are so so so so easy and yummy....

this is one of those meals that i hope Emma and the rest of our kids

grow up loving and then fix for their little ones....

It is so cool how you can start traditions within your own little family

that can be carried on....forever.....

our little tomato.....and BLUEberries!!!

So we have our first tomato...it is still kinda orange..

but we are told they ripen nicely after coming off of the vine....

we shall see...

Oh yeah...some of our blueberries that were

GREENberries are now BLUE BERRIES.....

yes we still have ALOT of REDberries but they are getting there......

water hose lover!

Summer has offically begun and we are feeling the heat....

Emma has really enjoyed playing outside in the water hose....

and as weird as it may be....drinking the water straight from the hose spout....

i constantly tell "Do not stick your mouth on that"....

but.....this is what happens....

ok so maybe i am a bad mom to stop instructing to take pictures...

but it was just too funny...

the whole thing is bigger than her mouth but she sure

enough got her lips around it....

i know ill look back at these pics and wish she were young again someday...

.so maybe i am not too bad of a mommy.....hehe

...so this is what our life in youth ministry looks like

I came across these pictures from VBS and thought it was a perfect example of

what young youth minister's families look like....their little one completely

surrounded by youth, while mommy is taking pics and daddy is teaching....

OR being held by EVERY single girl there is in the youth....

all I have to say is I LOVE IT!!!!!

Fathers day....

This fathers day was GREAT...a good relaxing day to end our crazy week....

we woke and headed to church(as Michael's Parents Headed south)....It was a great day at the Lord's House...Emma and I did a little rearranging in the Nursery and then met up with daddy after service! We went to lunch with a lovely family(the Grants)....which is one of our new youth families...their Daughter(whom Emma ADORES) is moving up to the youth group in a few short weeks!!! We are so excited to have her!(sorry we were so pooped we didnt get any church family pics)

Then HOME for some REST and RELAXING! After naps and snack we got up and had so snuggle and play time with daddy....

so much fun to see how much Emma adores her daddy...

and how much Michael is smitten with her!

Thank you Lord for a Godly husband that puts God First in our lives!

Then Emma and I really wanted to take daddy out for dinner, but pretty much EVERYTHING in Monticello was closed except....Arbys...Michael has actually been wanting Arbys for a few weeks so it fit perfect for a daddy's day treat!

Then we decided to make an impromptu trip to Perry...only about 30 miles away...we werent sure what was there and didn't want to go home...as actually found a TCBY in a gas station...huh?...yeah that is what i said...I LOVE TCBY...so it was a great end of the day treat for a great day!!! WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!!(XOXOXOX Mommy and Emma!

busy busy busy week!

This past week has been crazy!

We started Vacation Bible school Monday Night...Hometown Nazareth....Michael and I were the tribe leaders for 5th and 6th grade...THE LARGEST GROUP!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

Michael's parents came into town one wednesday and were here until sunday morning...such a great visit and a blessing to have them along for the busy ride! Emma loved having her grandparents in....she just played and laughed and loved every minute!

Then saturday was the big water give-away at the Festival and Southern Baby and Thirty One with Mindy's debut here in Jefferson County....CRAZINESS I TELL YOU!!!!!! My Parents and sisters and all the kiddos came along as well to check out the BIG Watermelon Festival!

(so busy we didnt get pictures of either tent and NONE of family that came to visit)

ALL in all everything was a HUGE success and we had alot of great times and fun along with it!

Watermelon Fest Water Give-away!

Our Goal was 2000 water bottles to give away at the water melon fest!

Great outreach project right???

Well We met that goal.....so we set a new one 3000 water bottles....

and we met that one to.......

we ended the collection with....

...3075!!!!
